You’ve got the new card in front of you. Now, what do you do with those 13 tiles? **“Crak”-ing the Code** is a three-session strategy class built around the **2027 National Mah Jongg League card**. We’ll explore how the new hands are put together and practice the decisions that come up in real games, from what to pass in the Charleston to when it’s time to switch hands. **What we’ll work on** - Spotting patterns and finding hands that use some of the same tiles - Narrowing down your options based on the tiles you start with - Deciding what to keep and what to pass in the Charleston - Using discards and exposures to decide whether to stick with your hand or pivot **Class format** Three 2-hour sessions for a total of six hours of instruction and practice. **Who it’s for** American Mahjong players who know the basics and want to feel more confident choosing and playing hands on the new card.
